WebPalm Database


Description of WebPalm

WebPalm is a large-scale public dataset for contactless palmprint recognition. This dataset allows us to assess the performance of palmprint recognition models with a minimal False Acceptance Rate (FAR) of 1e-9.

WebPalm consists of 83,145 palmprint images of 83,145 unique identities, collected from public internet resources. The dataset encompasses different acquisition devices, varied lighting conditions, and a range of user poses, therefore allowing for a realistic simulation of large-scale scenarios. We hope this dataset will serve as a valuable resource for the research community. The palmprints in the WebPalm database are shown as follows.

For access to the WebPalm database, you will need to agree to our terms of access:

1. The researcher shall use the Database only for non-commercial research and educational purposes.

2. All images of the WebPalm database are obtained from the Internet. Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) makes no representations or warranties regarding the Database, including but not limited to warranties of non-infringement or fitness for a particular purpose.

3. The researcher accepts full responsibility for his or her use of the Database and shall defend and indemnify the WebPalm team, and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), including their employees, Trustees, officers, and agents, against any and all claims arising from Researcher's use of the Database, including but not limited to Researcher's use of any copies of copyrighted images that he or she may create from the Database.

4. The WebPalm team reserves the right to terminate the Researcher's access to the Database at any time.
